Orrville Cross #2

Well, another exciting weekend of cyclocross here in Northeast Ohio. Sunday marked the 2nd OrrvilleCross race of the year. We had an even bigger turnout for this race than for the first one. There was something like 27 people in the B field which Lorena and I competed in. Lorena won the women's race and I finished 5th in the men's field. If I hadn't taken a spill coming through the start/finish area at the start of the last lap who knows what could have been. My teammate Steve Fenster was right there with me the whole time and ended up finishing just ahead of me at the end. Congrats to Weng on getting 2nd. It was a good race. Well, yesterday was a pretty good day for the OCC. We had a pretty good turnout for our cyclocross race and the weather held up for us. The racing was even better... I got 3rd in the B-race after battling back and forth with teammate Steve Fenster. He ended up getting me by about 10 seconds or so but the winner was somewhere around a minute up on us. It was friggin' tough. Lorena got 2nd out of the women's B-race finishing behind Julie Sroka. We took home a little money for our efforts but let's just say that we were a bit useless afterwords. Can't wait for next week's race!!
